Abstract
‘Holocaust’ is not only an internationally recognized term for genocide, but it has also become a symbol for the evil committed by humans against humans. And hardly any historical event is considered as thoroughly researched today as the Holocaust. The mottos "Never again" and "Wehret den Anfängen" (Resist the beginnings) uphold its memory as reminders to be vigilant against any form of racism and discrimination, both being harbingers of genocide.
