dc.description.abstractDer Beitrag diskutiert das Verhältnis von Akustik, Wahrnehmung und Neuer Musik am Beispiel von Stücken Arnold Schönbergs und Gérard Griseys. Die experimentelle Klangsynthese mit Sinustönen, die Hermann von Helmholtz durchführte, ist der Ausgangspunkt für neue Kompositionsweisen, in denen die physiologische, medientechnische und historische Prägung des Hörens selbst thematisch wird. Die Stücke setzen ein Kräftespiel im Material frei, das mit der Unterscheidung von Klängen und musikalischer Form nicht mehr hinreichend zu beschreiben ist, sondern eine Untersuchung der medientechnisch und experimentell vermittelten Erforschung von Schall und Wahrnehmung erfordert.de
dc.description.abstractThe article discusses the relation between acoustics, perception and New Music, taking works of Arnold Schoenberg and Gérard Grisey as examples. Hermann von Helmholtzes experimental synthesis of Sounds with sine tones is the initiation point for new forms of composition, in which the physiological, media-technical and historical formations of the ear become issues of the composition itself. Those works liberate a play of forces inside the sound material, that cannot be sufficiently described in terms of sound and musical form. The core of those works can only be grasped as resualt of an investigation of historical mediatechnical and experimental studies of sound and Perception.en
