Abstract

Gemäß der Vorstellung vom Gehirn als Organ des Wahrnehmens, Denkens, Fühlens und Handelns wird jede Form von Mind Control diesen Körperteil beeinflussen müssen. Im Gegensatz zu medial vermittelten und damit indirekten Methoden wie Werbung oder Propaganda gab und gibt es wissenschaftliche Versuche, die Nervenzellen direkt mithilfe von Gehirn-Computer-Schnittstellen zu beeinflussen. Während des Kalten Krieges tat sich der an der Yale-Universität tätige Hirnforscher José M. R. Delgado mit seiner Vision hervor, Menschen durch die Kontrolle ihrer Emotionen zu zivilisieren. Die heute insbesondere von Elon Musks Firma Neuralink entwickelten Gehirnimplantate dienen vertretbaren klinischen Zwecken. Doch bei der Vision, Sprache ins Gehirn zu schreiben, liegt der Gedanke an Mind Control nahe.

According to the idea of the brain as the organ of perception, thought, feeling and action, any form of mind control will have to influence this part of the body. In contrast to media-related and therefore indirect methods such as advertising or propaganda, there have been and still are scientific attempts to influence nerve cells directly using brain-computer interfaces. During the Cold War, the brain researcher José M. R. Delgado, who worked at Yale University, stood out with his vision of civilizing people by controlling their emotions. However, the vision of writing language into the brain suggests the idea of mind control.
