| dc.description.abstract | Der Vortrag stellt die Frage, ob es im Theoriegebäude der Rhetorik einen Ort für die Kategorie Multimodalität gibt. Die Antwort ist positiv, wenn man die rhetorische Performanz betrachtet, bei der multimodale Appelle an die Sinne und synästhetische Erlebnisse bei der mentalen Prozessierung zusammen-kommen. Es gilt aber zu bedenken, dass ‚monomodale‘ Kommunikationen o-der zumindest ein reduzierter Einsatz von Kommunikationsinstrumenten unter bestimmten Bedingungen bessere Wahrnehmungseffekte haben können. | de |
| dc.description.abstract | The lecture asks whether the framework of rhetoric theory offers a place for the category of multimodality. The answer is yes, if we consider the kind of rhetor-ical performances (acts), which succeed in integrating multimodal appeals to our senses and synesthetic experiences in our mental processing. However, it is important to remember that ›monomodal‹ communications, or at least a re-duced use of communication tools, under certain circumstances may result in increased perceptual impact. | en |
