Article:
Wie viele Pomodoro hat eine Dissertation? Über Produktivitätsversprechen der Mikrodosierung

Abstract

The introduction of the Pomodoro technique into academic writing promises that writing academic texts does not have to be the way many experience it: first postponed, then ecstatic and exhausting. Instead, writing coaches advise junior researchers to write regularly, even if only briefly: «at least fifteen minutes a day». Ideally, the production of text never ceases and the desire to write never wanes. However, the productivity promise of writing in microdoses also reflects the conditions in which the management of one’s writing affects are adding to one’s work load. In the midst of attention, care and higher education crises, special tools are needed to keep up the spirits.
