Abstract

Whereas media studies arose in somewhat close proximity to psychoanalysis, today it is no longer commonplace to study medial processes in a psychoanalytic manner. Instead of seeking to revive old beliefs, this issue focuses on current questions and problems that arise between media theories and theories of the psyche.
