Abstract

The relation between internal and external perception is one of the most inter-esting phenomena at the intersection of Postcolonial Theory and Media Stud-ies. Historic settings such as colonialism have been built upon the fact that certain groups do not own the right to and the control of a specific image production. This text aims to position itself within this context and tries to do so with a focus on Brazilian cinema.
