dc.description.abstractWir gehen davon aus, dass Informatik diejenige Wissenschaft und Technik ist, die sich mit der materiellen Repräsentation von Informationen, deren Erzeugung, Speicherung, Verbreitung, Übermittlung, Transformation in andere Darstellungsformen und ihrer Rezeption beschäftigt, unabhängig davon, mit welchen biologischen oder technischen Systemen dies geschieht, und unabhängig davon, ob die Informationen als (räumliche oder zeitliche) Signalfolgen, Bilder, Geräusche, chemische Reize oder in sonstiger Form vorliegen. Computer Science ist „nur“ derjenige Teil der Informatik, der sich mit der Realisierung der genannten Prozesse durch Computer oder verwandte technische Systeme beschäftigt, wobei freilich diese Seite in letzter Zeit in ihrer Bedeutung alle anderen Aspekte in den Hintergrund drängt. Computer Science konnte es nicht geben, bevor nicht wenigstens die Idee des Computers geboren war. Informatik hingegen hat eine Vorgeschichte, die nicht nur bis in die Anfänge der Menschheit sondern sogar in prähistorische Biologie hineinreicht.de
dc.description.abstractWe believe that Informatics is the science and technique that deals with the material representation of information, its creation, its storage, its contribution, its transmission, its transformation into different ways of representation and its reception, not considering the biological or technical systems involved or whether the information is represented by a series of signals (temporal or local), images, sounds, chemical stimuli, etc. Computer science is only the part of Informatics that is concerned with the realisation of the processes mentioned above with the help of computers or related technical systems (besides: this aspect tends to push aside the different other aspects lately). There could not be a Computer Science before the idea of the computer; Informatics have a history that leads us back not only to the beginning of human kind, but also into pre-historic biology.en
