Über filmische Bewegtbilder, die sich wirklich bewegen. Ansatz einer Interpretationsmethode

Abstract

This paper aims at two things which are closely linked to each other. First of all, a method for interpretation will be developed with which pieces of art can be interpreted that consist of an interaction of the three art forms film, instal-lation and performance. Brian O´Doherty´s usage of the term ›context‹ coined in Inside the White Cube is the basis for the method. The second goal of the paper is an interpretation of the performative filminstallation Wir lagern uns ums Feuer (1987) of the group Schmelzdahin.
