The authors propose to make Bruno Latours Actor-Network-Theory useful for Film and Media Studies. Using the example of the jalousie as a motive appearing in a lot of fiction films they unfold the agency of this «Ding» in the film plots as well as for compositions, lightening etc. Finally the authors aim for a research database on cinematographic motives.
