Abstract
Different media produce different narrative forms. That is exactly the reason why a special story can’t be transferred from one medium into another without changing the respective content. What are the medium-bound possibilities of time construction in narrative digital texts? This paper studies the interaction between the discourse time, the story time and the dynamic hypertext. It outlines special functions that allow the manipulation not only of the discourse time but also of the narrated events. Narrative tools are systematically analyzed and compared with other forms of storytelling like novel, film, theater etc.
