Zwischen-Bildlichkeit. Zur Frage bildlicher Übergänge und Bildgrenzen

In recent times there has been an intensified interest concerning the questions of the relation between images in art history, -theory and -education. Plural images, image series as well as temporary constellation, e.g. in art exhibition are more and more subject of image science reflections. On the basis of the discourses of the ›Bild im Plural‹ and ›Ikonische Situationen‹ this article poses the question of the relations between images and their surroundings. Both dis-courses indicate a productive addition through a phenomenological concept of the image in context of a visual syntagmatic. The question of the singular or related image can then be considered a performative and medial modalization of image experiences.
