Filmische Perspektiven holonisch-mnemonischer Repräsentation. Versuch einer allgemeinen Bildtheorie des Films

Film is a prototype of the moving image and a complex and multimodal con-struct. He generates meaning based on the principles of movement and time. Additionally film contains an intercodal systemic relationship of image, sound and scripture, therefore he is able to be operative in different representational levels of communication. In the perspective of an independent theory of the moving image we have to understand film as an intermedial, multimodal and multicodal construct. For that reason film is to be understood as a specific time object, a mnemonic construct that tightens between recipient and screen. We could describe film as a holonic metasystem of pictorial representation that is based on different types of connected representational subsystems. We are focused on the processes of reception that assimilates the different representational systems (shot, scene, sequence, film) and the different ways of synthesis. Supplemental is the dynamic structure of the film, the expansion in time that indicates a complex pictorial status in which the singular term image or picture is highly problematical.
