Abstract
The book outlines education under the auspices of digitization. Transformation processes are highlighted which, triggered by binary technologies, reach deep into everyday cultures and worldviews in our societies. These challenge the basis for knowledge and education. What does this mean for knowledge today? Which role does it play under these circumstances? And what can and should education be now? For this purpose, the educational theory debate is questioned form a media studies point of view.
