Abstract

The self-proclaimed expert Johannes Salim Ismaiel-Wendt examines techniques and technologies of the jurisprudence – apparatuses as well as rhetorical strategies. In his report he concentrates on microphony, transmission and amplification, because it reflects and situates speaking and hearing in court hearings in a special way. The auditory setting is to be understood as the «symptom and effect of historically specific epistemic constellations» (Gießmann 2009). Technical set-ups and wiring regulate and harden orders of speech, listening and power positions - and these positions are contested.
