Article: Doing Class. Hochschulzugang, Kunst und das Gewürz-Andere
Abstract
The article «Doing Class» introduces the research project Art.School.Differences, which investigates inequalities and normativities in three Swiss art colleges. In addition, the article discusses the generalizability of the research project’s outcomes beyond the three Swiss art colleges. The main focus lies on the question of how little institutional critique is tolerated in times of college self-marketing (by means of success messages), even if the respective institutions commission that critique, and could, in fact, be proud of the demonstrated openness.
