Representations in parallel perspective are central to the development of modern technological culture because at least since the 19th century most of the technical drawings use different forms of parallel perspective projections. The goal of the essay is to analyze the so far mainly unexplored transformation and specific forms of parallel perspective representation in digital images – i.e. in computer aided design processes (CAD) or in computer games and game art – from the perspective of Media Studies and Image Sciences.
