Problems of Media Analysis – Designing an Interpretative Model

Abstract

As technological manifestations of communicative structures increase, the information age has given unprecedented relevance to the evaluation and possible revision of conventional interpretative strategies. As various concepts and models of communication interlace in complicated combinations in new media, the claim to universal validity hitherto held by some theories is replaced by a loosely organized methodological co-operation that will change and regroup with each new object it is used to analyze.
